I am happy to share with you another free PDF printable sewing pattern for 18-inch dolls---A simple top with short sleeves.
*Note: The back piece is not cut on fold. Please cut 2 separate pieces for the back, as we will sew buttons and buttonholes or press studs or Velcro at the back. I have marked "Cut 1 on fold" on the back pattern piece. Please ignore that.

How to print?
Print the page on A4-size papers. Make sure you have set page sizing to "Actual size" before you print the pattern.
You can measure the 1 inch x 1 inch square in the pattern page to check whether the page has printed correctly.
These are the printed pages of the pattern.
Trim the right edge of page 1 and the left edge of page 2.
Tape the together at the back.
Here you get the complete pattern.
Now cut the individual pattern pieces out.
Our pattern pieces are ready to be used now. You have top's front, back, sleeves pieces all ready.
Now, let's cut the pattern pieces out from the fabric using these paper pattern templates.
How to sew the top?
Step 1: Join the shoulders.
Step 2: Finish the hemline of the sleeves.
Step 3: Attach the sleeves to the armholes.
Step 4: Finish the button extensions. Fold each edge of the extensions 1/4 inch down and again 1/2 inch down and sew over the edge.
Step 5: Finish the neckline.
Step 6: Join the sides.
Step 7: Finish the hemline of the top.
Step 8: Attach Velcro or press studs onto the button extensions.
Done! You have made a simple and beautiful top for your doll!
I have posted another sewing tutorial of this same top, but with French seams to conceal the raw edges. I have included a free sewing pattern for the top with French seams as well at this link.
Happy sewing!
---Flora
